DachRide Membership Terms

Effective Date: August 26, 2026

These Membership Terms govern participation in the DachRide Local e-bike membership program. By enrolling in a DachRide membership, you agree to these terms, including the initial minimum commitment, recurring monthly billing, responsible use of the bike, and DachRide’s maintenance, service, and return requirements.

Then add this first section:

1. Membership Term

DachRide memberships require an initial 3-month minimum commitment. After the initial 3-month period, the membership continues on a month-to-month basis until canceled in accordance with these Terms.

2. Monthly Billing

Membership fees are billed monthly in advance to the payment method on file. By enrolling, you authorize DachRide to charge the applicable monthly membership fee automatically until the membership is canceled in accordance with these Terms.

3. Cancellation

Memberships may not be canceled during the initial 3-month commitment except where required by law or otherwise approved by DachRide. After the initial commitment, the membership may be canceled on a month-to-month basis. Cancellation requests must be submitted before the next scheduled billing date to avoid the following month’s charge.

4. Bike Ownership and Return

All bikes, batteries, accessories, locks, and other equipment provided by DachRide remain the property of DachRide unless a separate purchase agreement is completed. At the end of the membership, all DachRide equipment must be returned in accordance with DachRide’s return instructions and in reasonable condition, ordinary wear and tear excepted.

5. Care, Maintenance and Repairs

DachRide is responsible for routine maintenance and normal service of the bike during the membership term. Members must promptly report mechanical issues, damage, unusual noises, warning indicators, accidents, or other conditions that may affect safe operation. Members should not authorize third-party repairs or modifications without DachRide’s approval.

6. Damage, Loss and Theft

Members are responsible for taking reasonable precautions to protect the bike and related equipment from damage, loss, and theft, including properly securing the bike when unattended. Members may be responsible for costs resulting from misuse, negligence, unauthorized modifications, loss, theft, or damage beyond ordinary wear and tear, subject to applicable law and any separate damage or security-deposit terms provided by DachRide.

7. Rider Responsibility and Lawful Use

Members are responsible for operating the bike safely and in compliance with applicable laws, rules, posted restrictions, and local regulations. Riders must follow DachRide safety instructions and may not use the bike for unlawful activity, racing, commercial delivery, extreme riding, or other uses outside the intended purpose of the membership without DachRide’s written approval.

8. Authorized Riders

The bike may only be operated by the member and any additional riders authorized by DachRide. The member is responsible for ensuring that any authorized rider is capable of safely operating the bike and follows all applicable laws and DachRide safety requirements.

9. Accidents and Safety

Members must promptly notify DachRide of any accident, collision, injury, theft, or significant damage involving the bike. Riders are responsible for using appropriate safety equipment and following applicable traffic, helmet, passenger, cargo, and operating laws.

10. Connected Security and GPS

DachRide bikes may include GPS, tracking, geofencing, or other connected security technology for theft prevention, fleet management, maintenance, and operational support. By participating in the program, members acknowledge and consent to these functions subject to DachRide’s Privacy Policy and applicable law.

11. Suspension or Termination

DachRide may suspend or terminate a membership for nonpayment, misuse of equipment, unsafe or unlawful operation, material violation of these Terms, failure to return equipment, or other conduct that creates unreasonable risk to DachRide, the rider, or others.

12. Limitation of Program Services

DachRide provides e-bike membership, maintenance, service, and support but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability or operation of any specific bike. If a bike requires service, DachRide may repair, replace, or substitute equipment as reasonably necessary.

13. Changes to These Terms

DachRide may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law. Changes will not retroactively alter an existing member’s initial minimum commitment without appropriate notice or consent where required.

15. Refundable Security Deposit

A $350 refundable security deposit is required before bike delivery. The deposit is held during the membership and is refundable after the membership ends and all DachRide equipment is returned and inspected.

Normal wear and tear, including routine tire wear, brake wear, minor cosmetic scuffs, and normal aging from proper use, will not result in deductions.

DachRide may deduct reasonable repair or replacement costs for missing equipment or damage beyond normal wear, including damage caused by misuse, negligence, unauthorized modifications, or failure to follow required security procedures.

If the bike or related equipment is not returned, is stolen under circumstances involving failure to follow required locking or security procedures, or sustains major damage beyond the amount of the deposit, the member may remain responsible for additional reasonable costs beyond the $350 deposit.

Any remaining refundable balance will be returned after the bike and equipment have been inspected and all outstanding amounts have been resolved.
